The split level dilemma continues, this time in Clifton. The level difference between the dining and kitchen spaces is nearly a metre in this case, but a solution was found by introducing an element of furniture to create the divide. The entrance into the combined kitchen dining space was improved by increasing the door width from the hall way, and hiding a sliding door within the thickness of the wall. An underused basement was fully updated with new playspace and a fully functioning utility space, and new flooring unifies the finish and feel throughout the ground floor.
